I like what Dea Riley said.  Tighter, clearer and better than anything I could write.  But on  an issue as important as this.  She got 98 cents.  I put in my 2 cents.

This is likely the simplest healthcare issue to solve Congress will face – fund all Vets, all the time, at any place they chose to receive care without hesitation.

Cmon Congress follow the Presidents lead- it’s really simple Vets earned their medical care same as they earned their medical conditions fighting for America.

Veterans Health Care Program.

This bill does some good, but Congress was slow to act in fixing the problem. However, this is only a short term solution and the program needs to be changed to meet the promise made to our veterans — health care for life in exchange for lower pay and service to our country.

They should get the quality and quantity and affordability of the care promised.

Military Retirees Health Insurance Benefits.

And while you are at it, why not fix Tri-Care for Life for those who have put the years in to retire. Don’t forget the bait and switch for retirees when Tri-Care for Life becomes a Medicare Supplement when the retired soldier becomes Medicare eligible. This is no a free entitlement but an earned benefit for services rendered. What folks do not know is that it sounds like a good deal with Medicare and the Tricare acting as a supplement, but the core benefits of Medicare ARE LESS THAN WHAT THE RETIRED SOLDIER GETS WITH TRI-CARE PRIME AND OTHER PLANS.

A little slice here, a little slice there, a corner cut, a benefit denied and then you got nothing real.

Promise made. Promise breached.
