This is a story based upon confirmation bias. Of course it is heartbreaking. Just as heartbreaking as those when someone is killed by amn illegal alien with a record and who should have been deported.

Any objection to a law with an “I know a case of (fill in the blank)” is an informal fallacy and a confirmation bias based on anecdotal evidence.

On one hand people scream for rule of law, but then on the other hand cry foul when they do not like the law.

We can employ civil disobedience and other lawful means to effect a change of the law.

But disobeying the law, living outside the law, placing their personal wants and desires above the laws of our nation is wrong and bodes poorly for their future citizenship. Law breakers should not receive a stay in country and get out of jail card just because theybwere able to skirt laws for many years.

These articles do propel support for either side, but posing as journalism masks the harm they cause.
