The Yellow Brick Road may lead you to the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. But the Red Belt and Road and Intellectual Property Theft only lead to ruin and subjugation of liberty and freedom.
The following three news items were copied from my morning John Ellis News Items. I am short on time and thought it would be best to share. Especially Note 3 on the military data breach.
Must never lose sight of the forest by only seeing one tree at a time
1. US Treasuries may face renewed selling pressure into the new year if the nation’s swelling debt repayment bill is any guide. Estimated annualized interest payments on the US government debt pile climbed past $1 trillion at the end of last month, Bloomberg analysis shows. That amount has doubled in the past 19 months and is equivalent to 15.9% of the entire Federal budget for fiscal year 2022. The figures are calculated using US Treasury data which state the government’s monthly outstanding debt balances and the average interest it pays. The worsening metrics may reignite debate about the US fiscal path amid heavy borrowing from Washington. That dynamic has already helped drive up bond yields, threatened the return of the so-called bond vigilantes, and led Fitch Ratings to downgrade US government debt in August. (Source: bloomberg.com)
2. After lending $1.3 trillion to developing countries, mainly for big-ticket infrastructure projects, China has shifted its focus to bailing out many of those same countries from piles of debt. The initial loans were mostly part of the Belt and Road Initiative, which Xi Jinping, China’s top leader, started in 2013 to build stronger transportation, communications and political links in more than 150 countries. But now the two main Chinese state banks that provided most of the infrastructure loans have reduced their new lending. Rescue loans climbed to 58 percent of China’s lending to low- and middle-income countries in 2021 from 5 percent in 2013, according to a new report from AidData, a research institute at William and Mary College. “Beijing is navigating an unfamiliar and uncomfortable role — as the world’s largest official debt collector,” the institute wrote. 3. Hundreds of thousands of migrants from all over the world are making their way to the Southwest border, with U.S. and Mexican authorities reporting a surge in apprehensions of people from Asia and Africa as human smuggling networks widen their reach across the globe. Arrests at the Southwest border of migrants from China, India, and other distant countries, including Mauritania and Senegal, tripled to 214,000 during the fiscal year that ended in September from 70,000 in the previous fiscal year, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. Fewer than 19,000 migrants from Asia and Africa were apprehended in the fiscal year ended September 2021. “The increase in migration from Asia and Africa is remarkable,” said Enrique Lucero, head of the migrant support unit of the Tijuana city government, across from San Diego. “These days, we are dealing with 120 nationalities and 60 different languages.” (Source: wsj.com)
3. For as little as $0.12 per record, data brokers in the US are selling sensitive private data about active-duty military members and veterans, including their names, home addresses, geolocation, net worth, religion, and information about their children and health conditions. In an unsettling study published on Monday, researchers from Duke University approached 12 data brokers in the US and asked what would be necessary to buy this kind of information; they ultimately purchased thousands of records about American service members, finding that many brokers offered to sell the data with minimal vetting and were willing to deal with buyers using email domains based in both the US and Asia. Red China has enormous amounts of data on Americans and others’ DNA reports (if not samples) from which to target the undesirables and their political enemies (home and abroad).
Red China now would have the results of how different races and nationalities handled their bioweapon, and with the addition of DNA info and personal information on soldiers and veterans a tantalizing target has been supplied to them.
