Biblical history reminds us that regime change can be harsh.  So many new leaders took out vengeance against those whom they defeated.  The norm was the vanquished were treated as slaves if lucky, killed if not.  Remember the Diaspora of the Hebrew Nation?

Let us think a moment about what happened to the Hebrews who once were invited guests of the Egyptian Pharoh thanks to Joseph,  But over time, the fading of memories, and the escalation of fear. isolation and persecution of the Hebrew nation by a new Pharoh.  One who did not recall how grateful a deceased Pharoh and the Egyptians were to Joseph who saved their behinds from a famine that so easily could have devasted them and make them vulnerable to attacks from foreign nations

So long Gratitude. Appreciation.  Respect.Hello Fear. Resentment. Retribution.

Too often those in power seek more power with time.   Exerting that power over those who did them no wrong, but now were easy targets to use and abuse for their own self-interests.  Sometimes for no other reason but because they could, can, and did.

Time changes much and the accumulation of powers changes those in power even more.

For nearly a quarter of a millennium America had peaceful transitions of power.

But the peaceful transfer of power is two sides of the same coin.  Those coming and those going.

And, let us be blunt.  The tipping point of the 2021 transition was January 2oth.  Trump left office but not without a fight.  But he did leave.  No tricks, traps, and hinch men like when he arrived.  No fake Russian conspiracies, cascading leaks, no threats to do harm to those leaving.

However this was NOT the case when Trump arrives or when he left.  Revenge, retribution seems to be the norm with the last being an Unconstitutional and Dead on Arrival Impeachment.

The peaceful cycles are gone.
Joe Biden talked about moderation, unity, and healing. But from day one the promise was broken. The lust for power, revenge, and retribution grows strong in the left and their minion Ol Joe. Think censoring, civil liberties lost to those who disagree, re-education camps, open immigration, no borders, and now the Middle East Peace Accords and firmness with the Chinese Communist Party are being brushed aside.
Benjamin Franklin did know his history.
History should not be forgotten, nor should it be erased or rewritten.
Welcome to the wilderness. Praying that we wander less than 40 years and regain the promise of our Founding Fathers.
