Today’s Bible Trundle follows day 169 from our (my Diane and me) morning chronological reading through the Bible App.
Proverbs is a book of wisdom and guidance, not commands or directives, which is situational in its application.
This verse jumped out to me as the left promised a smooth transition of power but immediately began slamming Hegseth for Secretary of Defense and Gaetz for Atty General.
I suspect most know that the Departments of Defense and Justice lost their way and need housecleaning.

In Trump’s last term as president, there were hidden efforts to take him down in the DOJ, and woke policies killed military recruitment. Then, for the previous four years, lawfare was used to influence the 2024 election. This must change, and a leader must be allowed the opportunity and power to lead.

The victors may no longer get the spoils, but the victor must have a chance to pursue the people’s wishes. The “loyal” opposition should not play politics with the will of the people.

Unveiling Wisdom in a New Era: Trusting the Process

“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search it out. As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable. Remove the wicked from the king’s presence, and his throne will be established in righteousness.” — Proverbs 25:2-5 (CSB)

Proverbs’ wisdom offers a clear guide as the nation moves into a time of political transition. Trump’s task now is to pick a cabinet and people who are loyal to the Constitution, Rule of Law, and the program of reforms and changes he campaigned on which were overwhelmingly approved by the electorate. This means trusting his ability to build a team focused on serving the nation, not seeking personal gain or bending to party pressure.

Proverbs speaks to the importance of wise counselors. A smooth transition depends on surrounding oneself with those who align with the leader’s agenda, allowing the executive to act boldly and fulfill the promises made to voters. Failure to allow him his chosen team risks inefficiency and jeopardizes the opportunity to satisfy the mandate set by the people.

C.S. Lewis reminds us, “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” This integrity, not political favoritism, must guide the process. The administration can best pursue righteousness, justice, and the common good with a strong, loyal team (of its choosing).

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” — Proverbs 15:22 (NIV)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)

Prayer: Lord, grant wisdom to our leaders. May they build a team that seeks Your truth and serves the people with integrity.
