The CDC Director Rochelle Warlensky of the Biden Administration just issued an order to prohibit landlords from evicting tenants who are NOT paying their rent. No requirements, no standards, no Constitutional or legal authority. This should be a no-brainer, but Biden allowed her to do it anyway.
And where is Attorney General Merrick Garland who is silent while the President he advises allows an illegal order to violate the Constitutional Rights of property owners?  I guess “life, liberty and property” mean nothing to the lawyer in Garland, but matches up to the political hack he now is. And to think Garland was actually nominated for the Supreme Court. Incredible.

And Biden, Pelosi, Maxine Waters, the Squad, and many more hailed this abuse of Constitutional legislative authority as a godsend, but overlook the fact that every landlord could get stuck with the bill, with those waiting for 18 months to collect rent could go bankrupt and lose everything.

Bottom line.
The Dems are breaking the law, and they know it. The Supreme Court said no, and they did it anyway.
A line has been crossed. And separation of powers ignored.
Some thoughts.
1. The president takes an oath to follow and executive the law and not be a lawbreaker.  He/she is not to make it up and violate the Constitution. Heck, the Supreme Court just ruled Biden’s eviction moratorium was illegal. And he basically said pound sand. President Andrew Jackson, another famous Democrat, once said something like ‘it’s Chief Justice Marshall’s order, let him enforce it.”
2. Buying time knowing litigation takes time and money is a shyster lawyer move. In equity, there was a rule that “justice delayed is justice denied.” Shameful.
3. Clearly an unlawful taking of private property or even an unfunded mandate disguised as a hidden tax. We all know the tenants most probably will not pay, much less leave immediately. And eviction proceedings take time, and most judgments for rent due will NOT be collectible.  Those affected have not paid rent for up to a year and a half, so why would they now?
4. The federal government has just nationalized the rental property of Americans.
5. The sanctity of contracts just got flushed down the toilet.
Sad. Sad. Day.
