This is a disturbing development and may render any result suspect and not accepted. Remember how the Democrats turned on again, off again, then on again for Comey depending upon where the political winds would take them?
Well, might as well buckle up for a bumpy right Mr. Mueller, and these bumps are of your own making. Meeting with your friend Comey to “screen” or even “sandpaper” his upcoming Congressional testimony was not a good start, and you the swamp is now enveloping you.
Now when you add the Clinton connection to the already murky mix caused by Comey’s testimony (leaks of government information to work the appointment of special counsel) and long standing friendship, you have a mix that make this paragon of reported virtue not the optimal choice.
I can understand why the POTUS might voice concerns to his closest confidants about his options and choices to avoid being the victim of another witch hunt from within his own administration!

The special counsel is still accountable to DAG Rosenstein, and can be removed for “good cause” plus his staff must meet certain ethical guidelines. The hiring of Democratic partisans whose track records and history are suspect is not a shining light of fairness, impartiality, but surely paints a picture of independence in the midst of bad judgment. Beyond reproach may have been how he left office, and like Caesar’s wife he is no longer beyond suspicion.
